Like hundreds of students who do engineering every year to fulfil their dream of making it big in life, I also came to the IET BHADDAL in JUNE 2004 with a similar objective but didn’t knew that what’s next there for me.
When i entered the college i didn’t knew that for what i am here. I just joined the engineering because one of my best friend also took the same stream in Rayat college. At that time i didn’t even knew that what the word ENGINEERING stands for.
The first day of my college I was very scared at that how the day will turn out to be. I had heard a lot about ragging those days but never experienced that before in my life . The way i used to hear about it from the people it really scared me up . On the first day of my college i was alone in the class as i was a lil introvert at that time and didn’t talked to people that much. On that day i made a friend who was a hosteller . He told me a lot about the ragging that day how they were ragged in hostel that thing scared me a lot. Thats why due to that i used to go to hostel for a week in the break time to just escape from the seniors in the day time. But how can u escape in the bus ......impossible.... finally seniors called me up in the bus at the backseat and started with my intro and all .. It was really fun while giving intro and all... they made me comfortable while taking and taking intro.. and believe me guys it really helped me to take out my fears related to ragging and i made many good friends . And then the time came when i used 2 rag our batchmate’s with my seniors when they came to knew that i am their batchmate only it was really funny.
Slowly i started interacting with my classmates and started making friends . In the first month we never mass bunked any lectures it just started with the second month when we were comfortable with the class and guess what who initiated the first mass bunk of our class....?.
Yes you are right it was me and my group......
But still the mass bunks were not the proper ones as you will always find out some papus in every class. We used to had lots of fun during those days i just miss those days like anything. We had a group of five friends me, bob , vikas, brijmohan and harmeek in college. Used to do lots of fun in the class. Without us the class was incomplete. The fun was so much that we never bothered about studying for exams.. and when the result came it was shown over there with 2 supplies in my first semester and it just continued till the end of my college life.... when we used 2 get a supply we only had one thing to say “ Koi na agli baar de denge ..” but woh agli vaar ptu wale bahut mushkil se dete hain...
We people were never bothered about the results till the placements started going on at that time we realized what we were doing....
We were always involved in the strikes, ragging, bunking , going out from the examination hall after half time gets over ,sometimes fights also...
Our batch was one the spunky batch of our college till now . It was involved in the maximum number of strikes and fights with teachers , juniors ,seniors , and strikes.
There was a time when we used to say with pride that i am DETAINED this semester , got supply in subjects , had PANGA with seniors e.t.c but now i realise what i was doing with my life.
I got some lovely friends from my college one of them is gaurav pratap my "suttamate ". He was also known as body builder of our batch . My smoking started with him only in the college. I shared my first sutta with him in the college. Guys u believe it or not cigarettes really bring people close 2 u if u smoke. They really make such a bond which u can’t imagine. I and gaurav also had a dream to make a name in college so that everyone knows us u can say that like a DJ in Rang De Basanti.... and we also accomplished our mission quite well.. We were always infront of strikes the strike leaders , fights, principal’s room , HOD ke room kea age peshi n all....
This line holds true for us “apne jaise DJ bhi is duniya ki bheed me aake piss gaye” after passing out from the college.
Our exams were used to be one night study game and we played really quite well to pass them... but still PTU gives u a gift in return ......
We used to dictate the whole exam to my friends from the books on phone but still we managed to get supply in that exam . This is why Punjab technical university is famous for .When Punjab and technical comes together ... you all know what happens .... all the products of PTU knows what sort of university is this....
4 years of engineering to be described in 1 blog is really a challenging task so i will sum up the things which i did in my engineering
Ø 1 st sutta of my life with my dear friend Gaurav Pratap(trying to quit this habit now)
Ø Attended lectures after getting high at tavern ...3 days we used 2 be high out in a week
Ø Ransacked the HOD room in the final year
Ø Ragging taking intros...
Ø Had bloody conflicts with our seniors till they got passed out
Ø Had fight with HOD on the trip to Rajasthan ... on the way back to college our HOD resigned
Ø Got detained in subjects in my fifth semester finally
Ø Blocked national highway in strikes
Ø Got suspended for a month
Ø Got detained in internal exams as well
Ø Involved in strikes from the first year
Ø Had given 19 exams in one semester
Ø The happiest moment when my maths 1 , maths 2 got cleared in 7th semester
Ø Trip to Mumbai and Goa where almost everyone of us cried on some thing or the other
Ø Missed the final exams in third year as i was involved in partys and all at that time
Ø My souvenir tagline was “For him, the lect. ends before it begins. A talented guy with an evergreen smile, for him degree, job, %age, internal, supplies “sab moh maya hai.” Loves the song “sutta“... Lives his life in his own style with some unique set of rules. Na kehna to isne sikha hi nahi always there to help ...a complete misogynist kind of a person. "
Guys does it go with me ........???? Any comments
That’s just a brief overview what i did in my engineering. You can well imagine what i was.... but time has the capability to change anyone same happened with me after i passed out from the college and i learned many things from my engineering
The first one is never give up just try, try, try and try . A day will come for what you were trying you will get that and at that time .You will realise the importance of the success in your life at that time.... you can take an example of me i tried a lot for clearing my supply exams for becoming an engineer .... when i was in my final semester i was waiting for the results but the result was not coming as it is always the case with PTU .. i was really tensed a lot ... Someone told me that results are out but were not given to college at that time..... They were lying with the university only... then i went to PTU KAPURTHALA on bike with my friend Bob . We reached the university by 4 pm in the evening and there was a long queue of students asking the results and i was last one standing there in the queue . The students who were asking the result there were almost failing in the exam.. I was so scared at that time when my number came and the guy sitting over there told me the that i cleared my exams. I was just so rhapsodic that i can’t even tell . Finally i became an engineer. At that time i called my dad and my best friend dipin and i couldn’t even speak i was just literally crying at that time.... dad asked what happened again a supply then i replied no i am finally an engineer now i can’t forget that day in my life...
U can say this as the pursuit of happiness in my life
I can just day that no matter what has happened to me , my past experiences have formed me into the person i am today.
I've learned that maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you learned from them, and less to do with how many years you have lived.

Ossum yar....Will luv to read more....keep updating....
